Can apps be used offline (without Internet connection, through WiFi or mobile data)?

Apps which require an Internet connection when used

Our following Android and Apple apps require an Internet connection through which they stream audio and video content when required (avoid metered 3G/4G mobile data Internet connections to prevent data download charges from your carrier):

Apps which do not require an Internet connection when used

Our following apps can be used offline (without an Internet connection) after installation when the required component content has been download to the device's internal storage (those that include hazard perception therefore require more than 1GB local internal storage for all content):

• Theory Test 4-in-1 Bundle (Android/Apple)
• Hazard Perception Theory Test (Android)
• LGV & PCV Theory Test & Hazard Perception Kit (Android)

Problems using Android apps offline (without Internet connection)

Some users have reported occasional issues with the second set of apps listed on Android devices above whereby they don't work unless an Internet connection is in place. If you experience this issue please:

1. Close the app
2. Open "Settings"
3. Touch "Apps" or "Applications"
4. Touch "Google Play Services"
5. Touch "Storage" or "Manage Space"
6. Touch "Clear Cache"
7. Try the app again without an active Internet connection

Another option is to uninstall and reinstall the app, without having to pay again.
